Sleep Paralysis involves episodes of complete paralysis which can last from seconds to minutes at the end or the beginning of sleeping. The person will wake up to find themselves unable to move any part of their body nor can the person talk, however you will be in a conscious state.
This unusual experience can be accompanied by:
-feeling of a presence in the room -hallucinations -Large amount of pressure on your chest
CAUSES: -stress, sleeping face upwards, irregular sleeping patterns
TREATMENTS: -avoid chronic sleep deprivation
-education about sleep stages
-recommended evaluation of narcolepsy
